Description
What this tattva teaches us is that instead of being greedy, wanting to possess things, be greedy to spread the truth, become a great saint or a great teacher. The sense associated with Prithvi Tattva is smell. Prithvi Tattva is the basic element of the earth and is an expression of boredom, unawareness, attachment and functions only out of need and instinct. But it is the element that makes all life possible, sustaining all life on its surface, as well as forming bones, muscles, our hair, ligaments, and other structural parts that allow us to function practically as human bodies.
It is dense and gives things form, stability and solidity – it comes from this physical element of the earth (the first Chakra-muladhara).
